The Townsville Sharks Touch Football Club was formed in 1973 and operates from our clubhouse in the Townsville Showgrounds which is located in the suburb of West End. Our clubhouse is the base for all club activities and functions as well as for training sessions.

There are approximately 120 members (not including our Juniors) in Sharks and the club takes great pride in their on-field performances as well as in their many social functions and activities.

During the winter months, the club competes in competitions organised by the Townsville Castle Hill Touch Association (TCHTA). The primary competition run by TCHTA is the "Mens and Women's Open Competition" which is run on Sunday afternoons at Queens Park in the suburb of North Ward from February until August.

• Open Mens (played on Sunday afternoon)
• Open Women's (played on Sunday afternoon)
• Social Mixed (played on Monday and Tuesday nights)
• Over 30,35,40's Mens (played on Tuesday nights)
• Juniors (played on Friday evening, in summer)

During summer months, in conjunction with the Hugh Street Rugby Club, Sharks operate a "Social Competition" which comprises 3 divisions (Social, Very Social and Very Very Social). The emphasis for this competition is on fun and new players are very welcome to enter a team or join another team.
